James River Nurseries would like to congratulate our friends at Waterstreet Studio, landscape architects of one of our projects, the Low Line, for receiving a 2018 Merit Award from the VA ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects) under the General Design Category for their work on the Low Line.
The goal of the VA ASLA Professional and Student Awards is "to recognize Excellence, Exemplary Performance, and Significant Contributions within the landscape architecture profession of the Commonwealth of Virginia; to encourage the application of landscape architectural solutions to the issues, problems and opportunities challenging us today; and to provide a forum for the review and evaluation of work currently shaping our environment."
The Merit Award recognizes functional solutions that achieve project purposes and exhibit a high standard of achievement in such a manner deserving state-wide recognition.

James River Nurseries was proud to be selected landscape and hardscape contractor for the new 200,000 square-foot mixed use development known as the Sauer Center.
The Sauer Center, located on the site of the former Pleasants Hardware building at 2024 W. Broad Street, is bordered by W. Broad Street and Hermitage Road to the south & east, the DMV headquarters building to the west and Richmond Fire Station No. 10 to the north.
The development will be anchored by the region's second Whole Foods Market store. The project also includes the renovation of the the headquarters of C.F. Sauer Co., a Richmond-based global food manufacturer.

James River Nurseries is proud to have been selected both landscape and hardscape contractor for the new Penstock Quarter apartments. Located in the popular Libbie Mill - Midtown community, Penstock Quarter is the newest additon to this amazing development.
Standing five stories high, Penstock Quarter will consist of 327 apartments, ground level retail space fronting surrounding streets, and a parking garage on the first two levels.
